I’m not sure how he spins the McD’s fryer to his advantage. If he says it’s a hard job, then he’s implying that it was challenging to him and that he had a hard time doing a minimum wage fast-food job. I don’t see Mr. “I’m the best at everything” admitting that anything was hard for him. If he says it’s easy, then Harris shouldn’t find it challenging. He’d have to say it was an easy job, but that Harris couldn’t do it because it was too hard for her. I guess it’ll be the typical nonsensical mess that his followers will lap up regardless of what he says or does.
The ads I see locally (Kentucky here) are mostly about school choice. There’s a ballot proposition for allowing school choice, and it has the tagline “President Trump supports school choice. So should you.”
My brother reported having seen one of the “trans prisoners” ads, and said it was almost enough to get him to vote against her. He’s extremely apolitical, but he has a background in corrections, which likely skewed his perspective on the issue.
Trump has backed out of a speech to the NRA, because of “scheduling conflicts” and not because he’s an incontinent sundowning wreck.
Also, he’s demanding that he get to run against Biden again.
How is it that every deal, person and piece of merch that gets involved with Trump has some weird twisted story attached to it?
Judge Chutkan is unsealing Jack Smith’s evidence against Trump tomorrow.
Thanks for that, @Smapti. I especially liked this, from Joyce Vance:
Sounds like Trump has encountered a judge who his lawyers cannot snow, and who his position cannot influence.
Mencken said, “Injustice is relatively easy to bear; what stings is justice.”
Coincidentally, immediately below that quote on the page was this much-repeated one, which he wrote in the Baltimore Evening Sun on July 7, 1920
As democracy is perfected, the office [of president] represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people…On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.
It only took us 96 years (although some might claim there were earlier candidates).
He’ll say it was hard for everyone else, but not for him, because of his “good genes” or whatever. Then he’ll toss in some stupidity like, “I said, ‘Why don’t you keep the oil hot in between batches of fries? Then you could cook a whole bunch really fast!’, and the manager said he’d never heard anyone ask such a thing, so I told him, ‘Well, I guess you owe me now, I’ll let you use that one!’”
“Can I go back to running against Biden instead? PRETTY PLEASE?”
He should never permit the sun to backlight his comb-over.
Seriously, wow! That is not looking good. The last month or so he has looked ill.
He’s “exhausted”.

I love the campaign stop he made in a New York barbershop. His followers on Xwitter were saying that this makes him a man of the people.
My response was, “he went to a barbershop and his hair still looks like that?”
Dress rehearsals.
I’m pretty sure that Biden stepping back in favor of Harris genuinely confused and angered him because it made one of his major goals outright impossible: beating Biden personally to “avenge” his loss against him in 2020. I think that’s one reason he’s kept sliding back to talking like he’s running against Biden; Biden is whom he actually wants to win against. Not Kamala Harris.
Also playing the “he’s old and senile” card is impossible now- since trump is clearly old and talking like he is senile.
Well that and the fact that he was soundly beating Biden.
I ask any lurkers unsure of their vote to read this:
The Atlantic - Trump Is Speaking Like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini
In his 2020 campaign, Trump referred to alleged criminal migrants as animals and vermin. But full and frequent use of totalitarian rhetoric, including bad genes and immigrants poisoning our blood, is new this time.
More concerns about Trump’s ground strategy. Maybe he doesn’t care-he can just pitch a fit and order people to go riot anyway if he loses.
