Donald Trump more popular than Hillary Clinton

Oh here we go again: “Hillary and the Democrats ‘won’ the popular vote.”

Meanwhile, Republicans control the White House, Congress, and an overwhelming majority of state legislatures. I’m not sure what universe you’re living in, but mine is one where Republicans actually are winning elections that Democrats cry about.

I don’t really disagree with you on this one.

I’m not sure whether I view Hilary favorably: I’m a bit peeved at her for losing to Trump.

Why are we surprised? Trump has run the country more or less the same way he ran his campaign, and he won the election.

I assume Trump has quietly withdrawn from it by now.

Hillary Clinton is a typical dishonest politician, noted mainly for being awful at winning elections - note that of the ‘accomplishments’ listed, only one is an elected position (and that wasn’t even a straight election win, but the party handing it to her) while the others are ‘married to a guy who got elected’ and ‘appointed by the guy who got elected because she’s a big name in the party’. One of her most notable accomplishments as Senator was voting in favor of the Iraq war, and she’s supported numerous other things that she has had to step down from. Her presidential campaign was noted for the attitude of ‘it’s her turn’ (that was an actual slogan floated by her team) and it’s woeful incompetence, failing to actually campaign in icky states where she was vulnerable because she was sure she was anointed to win. There is a LOT wrong with this dishonest career liar who never met a war she didn’t like, and the fact that her supporters keep trying to hype her up even after she straight-up lost the presidential race to Trump doesn’t help.

Meanwhile, there’s a bunch of people who like Trump, and people who are so “R” jersey they support him for that, and essentially all of them hate Clinton, and did last time the survey was done. So Trump’s support numbers just don’t move much. Meanwhile a lot of people were favorable to Clinton primarily because “it’s her or Trump”, and that works against her now. Sanders supporters, for example, who were favorable towards her because ‘at least she’s a Democrat’ now feel that she stole the primary from Bernie then flubbed the election badly. People holding their nose to vote for her now resent her because they held their nose and she still let them down.

They might change their minds

It is, quite seriously, exactly what you should expect from a cyst that has apparently infinite amounts of pus.

This.

Pretty soon, we’ll hear “World War 3 just started and we are at war against Britain and Chicago, but hey… Trump didn’t shit his diaper this morning (yet)”.

… and they still can’t get a fucking thing done (which in this case is a good thing).

BPC please stop spreading FAKE NEWS by FAUX NEWS.

Obviously everyone loves Hillary and her ratings are 176% and everyone hates Super Satan who’s numbers are less than -834% (last time I saw). Everyone knows that.

It’s not “demonization” to call an incompetent asshole an incompetent asshole. I agree, however, the last six months have resembled a festering cyst.

All is well! All is well!

Yeah, right. Suck it up, buttercup.

That’s a pretty good description of Hillary’s campaign. The Democrats joined with her to manufacture an image of a highly qualified presidential candidate that failed to lure enough voters in critical states. She has to take the blame for her own failings as a candidate and she also is taking the blame for the failure of the Democratic Party to find a credible candidate. This recent poll simply shows the attitude of many voters who wanted a none-of-the-above option combined with the solid never-Hillary opposition who never would have voted for her in the first place.

All these polls show is that the American people are highly dissatisfied with both parties and the political process, something Hillary ceded to Trump as the change candidate while she campaigned on a more-of-the-same platform.

What demonization of Trump have the Democrats performed?

Now, the demonization of Donald Trump by Donald Trump, yes, that’s unprecedented.

They’re just upset because we aren’t as nice to him, as they have been to Hilary, Obama, etc etc

It’s the new order. They can be sexist racist Nazi assholes but no one else can.

You expect sexism from the Right. Not all of them are sexist, but it’s inherent to their ideals. But when some people on the Left rationalize their sexism with lame excuses and standards they didn’t vocalize until a woman violated them, it’s aggravating. They deny their sexism, but it’s all too clear. Their political machismo can not tolerate women who don’t defer to their ideological leadership.

Yes, it’s terrible that a person analyzing their failure states that others might have had something to do with it. Especially when the others are still attacking the person. We expect people to be utterly submissive after they’ve been vanquished.

Your statement is a perfect example of implicit sexism. Men fight to make a comeback; women are sore losers.

Maybe it’s time for an “All in the Family” reboot. Set it in Houston and have Archie be a martial arts instructor.

Yawn, get a new shitck Drunky. The strawman hyperbole is getting a bit old.
Poe’s law doesn’t work so well on the left.

Heh. Now I’ll be reading his posts with all of Archie’s bluster but in Chief Gillespie’s accent.

In other words, screw all the voters in the smaller rural states, who cares what they think anyway. The big cities and densely populated areas should decide the Presidency.

Thank God the Founding Fathers were wiser than that. Such a system could have led to the dissolution of the Union.
