Honestly, I have loved every woman since the first time D and I divorced. I would not have even entered into the relationship otherwise. Sadly, none of those relationships worked out, happily. (:))
Long-time Dopers may remember my quote: “If it doesn’t happen here (thumps heart), then it doesn’t happen there”. (you know where, right?)
I tried, but * she * was always there in the background and I know, loving me, which is why she nor I ever remarried, I think.
So here we are, the both of us, remembering all the terms of affection, soothing the hurts, and supporting each others’ projects. Same as it ever was.
I’m not losing her again. I won’t be that stupid a second time.
I hear ya on the patients getting neglected!! I have been in the hospital 4 times - twice for childbirth, and twice for elective surgery. Something significant has been botched EVERY SINGLE TIME except for one of the childbirth visits. Good on you for being “that asshole husband”, I sure wish I could have had mine with me each time (and the one childbirth, the botches happened DESPITE him being there).
Spent the day throwing away moldy stuff from the “Fritch” ( in memory of my German Mom, who never was able to say “fridge”) into the trash, cleaning kitty litter and feeding Bert; mopping, unloading and reloading the dishwasher and washing clothes inbetween checking on my Dondra and fixing her whatever she thinks she could hold in her belly.
I had to restart the dryer, because it’s got her jeans in it, and afterward I hope to get in some Warcraft, although it doesn’t look like it right now.
I check on her every hour (don’t wake her up, just make sure she’s sleeping soundly), so I set my travel alarm, but it’s not so bad, because I sleep a little later in the day, keeping one ear open, in case she needs me.
Nothing’s going to happen to her while I’m here, and both of us appreciate everything you’ve done for us, but now lets please all concentrate on Faithfool and her Jayceson.
No, Alice there isn’t. We’re on our own and it’s not a problem. Just wanted y’all to know I’m not being lazy and still remember to clean house!
I love taking care of her, just as I know that she would take care of me. She’s a very precious lady, who always puts others first, so I don’t mind putting her first for a change!
We do have a lady who comes in bi-monthly when we can afford it, but right now, I’m that lady, and I don’t mind a bit!.. Enjoy!:
Hey sweetie! Just wanted to say I hope y’all are having as quiet a night there as we are here. Jaceson’s already hit the sack exhausted and I’m believing in a much better day tomorrow for all of us.
