Don't Blink! The Supermodelquins = "Weeping Angels"

I finally figured out why the Old Navy Supermodelquins (mannequins) creep me out, they remind me of the Weeping Angels from the Doctor Who episode “Blink”. The Modelquins move but never while we’re looking, just like the Weeping Angels. I always suspected they wanted to eat my soul but as it turns out they just want to kill me of old age in another time and feed off my potential energy. Not as bad as soul eating, but still creepy.

So if you encounter a Supermodelquin, don’t blink. Blink and you’re dead. Don’t turn your back. Don’t look away. And don’t blink. Good Luck.

You can go a long time without blinking if you close one eye at a time.

I just went to Old Navy and they have those creepy mannequins in the store! They’re not even on pedestals like normal mannequins, they’re just standing around. I kept turning around to find one of them right behind me. “Oh, excuse me, I didn’t see you…AGH!”

They remind me of the topiary animals from The Shining.

They were advertising it all over the place a few years back, so I’m pretty sure it was before.

I believe “Oh Mikey!” started airing in the early 2000s. I have the Fuccons DVD at home so I can check later. And yes, they’re the first thing I thought of when I saw these freaky commercials.
