Don't make little mountains outta your trash-get rid of it!!

So the neighbours whose yard we overlook appear to have a problem with cleaning up.First it was the dog, whose droppings weren’t collected at all,but left to sit and gather until the back yard looks like a chessboard. Then they disappeared for a couple of weeks and when they returned, they cleaned up!Hooray! That was a few months ago.Since then, they haven’t cleared anything up.Not even when they put the washing line up.I thought that would make them shift it,but nope, they hopped about dodging the crap.
And as for the trash. They had bags sitting out there full of the stuff. When they came back after their absence,it was all piled up and a tarp put on top, just to keep the seagulls off until trash day when it’s all taken out.Nope.It’s sat there for four months.Extra bags have added, with various strange household objects. It’s now nearly five foot high and the other day the kid was playing on it  I’ve got the council onto them, but since it’s private property I’m not having much look…Grrr…I don’t want to have that as a view. And I don’t want your flies coming to visit me :frowning:

You may get a little more help if you tell the city that it’s more then just the sight of it that bothers you. Let them know how terrible it smells when the wind is in the right direction. Also, a friend of mine was having problems with her neighbors not cleaning up dog crap, it was so bad it got to the point that when it rained, there would be run-off into her property. You could probably mention that as well. And, is this bothering any of the other neighbors? You could have them call the city as well. You may want to call the health department and have them come out out and look at it. There’s a good chance months worth of garbage and dog crap poses some health concerns.

Dang, six_personalities I complained a lot about my slobby neighbor but he was nothing compared to yours. He did have two vehicles that didn’t work on his property, one in the drive and a truck parked in the back yard with all kinds of stuff piled on it. He would at best mow twice a year (this in an area where we mow eight months out of the year) and had this piece of conceptual yard art in his backyard that consisted of two old filing cabinets, a push mower, a beer cooler, a rake, a hoe, a charcoal grill and a vase of artificial flowers, all arranged just so.

He moved and the new neighbors cleaned up the yard! Yay! They mow regularly! Yay! There’s a refrigerator, washing machine and dryer sitting in the middle of their back yard! Oh well, I have a privacy fence so at least I don’t see it until I’m standing on the deck grilling or being nosy and seeing what the neighbors are up to.

Well when she was yelling at the kid to get off the rubbish tip because it was a stinking pile of rubbish,I did yell back in that case why didn’t she clear it up and get rid of it.Didn’t hear me cos too busy yelling at the kid. They’re an odd lot anyway. The lounge is COMPLETELY empty.Nothing at all.Wires sticking out the wall.Bare floors.Like it’s being rebuilt.Except for this huge great plasma screen computer.Must be 2Ks worth at least…

Wow! English white trash!

Gee, and I thought the household game of “Garbage Jenga” was bad. I would go nuts with that smelly mess!

Dude, my elderly aunt lives in Leesburg and her across-the-road-down-the-street neighbors have conceptual art too! Only theirs has a painted TV tray instead of a vase of flowers. Maybe it’s an ass-end-of-Georgia thing.

Yeah, you gotta be pretty nosy to know what’s in the backyard of people across the road and down half a block, but she’s definately got the time on her hands.

Just across the road and down half a block? HAH! Your aunt is an amateur! Now, when she can report on yard art standing in a back yard four miles down the road and 10 streets over, then we’ll talk nosy.

There’s ten streets to be over in Leesburg? Surely not ten named streets.

Actually I live in south Lee County, not in the 'burg. In south Lee AKA North Albeeny, we got lots of streets to be over. The 'burg does have two traffic lights, a Hardee’s and a Krystal though. It’s up and coming! :stuck_out_tongue:
