Don't worry, Australia - Canada's taken Kevin Rudd off your hands.

At least, so saith the BBC, which does its best to keep up with political developments in the colonies:

BBC labels Kevin Rudd as Canadian PM

Canada can have him, he is Australia’s worst Prime Minister, got our country in billions on debt and keeps on spending, typical Labor.

Yeah, right. If Rudd and his team went to Canada their mismanagement and overspending might increase Canada’s debt from 30 to 11.5% of GDP.

Huh. That doesn’t entirely make sense does it? Weird.

The dude can’t be any worse than Harper (can he?). I say let’s try him out!

If only there were some way of deposing the PM. He is essentially a dictator, elected for four years.

As party leader, he has absolute authority to decide who runs under the party label in every riding. So you better not oppose him if you are in his party.

Yet in Australia Gillard deposed Rudd (PM/leader of Labour), fought off a challenge from Rudd and finally had to call a caucus vote on her leadership which she lost (to Rudd). All that in 3 years, which seems a bit much to me, though I’d like to *some *of that energy over here.
