Not when they knock the mistress up and lie about it. The lying is actually worse than the affair. Edwards really disgraced himself by having a campaign worker claim it was his baby.
OK, so I didn’t follow all the details of that case. Yeah, that is pretty sleazy.
Not that I want to be agreeing with adaher on…well, anything, but a lot of the outrage against Edwards was out of sympathy for his wife, who had recently had her cancer come out of remission. The campaign’s line had been that the two were very in love and that she was supporting his campaign while he supported her fight against the disease. The revelation of the affair threw all of that down in flames.
I agree with the OP, if Obama doesn’t knock it off at this rate he won’t win another presidential election.
Didn’t hurt Bush much to suck, but it sure hurt John McCain. If Obama does poorly enough, no one connected to him will be able to win an election.
This thread really does not belong in Elections.
Yeah, as a registered Democrat I just don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have a conservative telling me what new non issue I should be outraged by.
You aren’t the GOP’s intended audience. Dead enders aren’t worth courting.
You owe me a new irony meter.
Nope. He’s totally serious. Look you right in the monitor, say it, and not even blink.
You mean you aren’t concerned that Obama is making a huge mistake and needs to take into account suggestions from conservatives when considering future actions? I’d be concerned. Very concerned. It’s only in the best interests of the President that conservatives are expressing these concerns.
Yes…these concerns show that Obama needs to bridge the gap between himself and the gruff attitudes of the GOP…
Elections are multiple choice not fill in the blank (at least not at the POTUS level)
no offense but you frequently seem more like you swing between the Republican party and the Tea party.
I have voted party line Democrat since 2003 and mostly Republican for 15 years before that. The recent gun debate is swinging me back towards the center. I’ll probably still vote party line Democrat but I’m not sending them money anymore and when they ask why, I say because of guns. I probably won’t for Mark Warner again.
Warner’s a good man and I can’t think of any Virginia Republican who should replace him.
Tom Davis? And I don’t necessarily want to replace him with a Republican, there are several Democrats that I could vote for. I won’t vote for governor vaginal probe over Warner but I’m not voting for Warner either.
