Marius Constant, a pretty well-known “modern classical” composer—but he’ll go down in pop-culture history for his Twilight Zone theme.
Eve, you have a talent for coming up with the best death thread titles.
Surely he died a fitting “Twilight Zone” death. Maybe he ran afoul of a voodoo curse? Killed by an evil talking doll? It just wouldn’t be right if he died of old age.

Meet Mr. Marius Constant. A once-talented composer, he can now only sell to the movies variations of his most famous theme. But today, that’s going to change. Because this tired old Romanian has more scores to write, and maybe some to settle, here in the Twilight Zone.

I have a CD of Arthur Honegger’s excellent score to Abel Gance’s Napoleon–Constant not only conducted this session (he was quite prolific on the podium), but he also wrote some additional material for the film as the newly restored versions began to emerge as part of Kevin Brownlow’s efforts. Not as overtly anthemic as Carl Davis’ more famous score, but quite good in its own right.
Oh, and Eve: It’s Doo-DOO-Doo-Doo Doo-DOO-Doo-Doo.
I’ve read a lot of great posts on this site, but that may be the best one ever.
