doorhinge, answer the question

No, but there is nothing wrong with helping the people there organize and articulate their grievances.

That’s so true.

If I am going to talk at doorhinge, I’m going to have to start using smilies. Easy call.

You implied that Sharpton was the victim.

Did Sharpton organize the protests, the burning, OR the looting in Ferguson?

Discussion of Fox News always reminds me of that great line from the movie Blues Brothers:

“Oh we got both kinds of opinion here, wingnut and batshit.”

And here I thought “Doorhinge” was that rare 4-leaf clover of a word that rhymes with “orange.”

“What would Dan Tanna do?”

OK, sure. The Robert Urich Scholarship fund could use the boost.

Norman Maclean immortalized that as A T-bird Runs Through It.

My door hinges are far more useful to me than you’ll ever be, so be as flattered by that as you choose.

WooHoo !!!

Jamb a sock in it, you! [eye poke]

All of us are victims when there is racial injustice, or as they say, “No one is free when others are oppressed.”

I honestly don’t know what is intended to be conveyed by terms like “race baiting” or “race card.” Race issues are real, and there is nothing wrong with raising them.

[Verse:]
I’m going down to Florence, gonna wear a pretty dress
I’ll sit on top the magic wall with the voices in my head
Then we’ll drive on through to Memphis, past the strongest shores
And on to Arkansas just to touch the crumbled soul

[Chorus:]
A feather’s not a bird
The rain is not the sea
A stone is not a mountain
But a river runs through me

I agree, it used to be someone like him would pop up once in a while, not other idiots to talk to and wander off, but now some of them have stayed creating a colony of idiots who travel around the Dope supporting each other.

Fox News has reported on 30 of the last 10 political scandals.

Does it then follow that you would prefer that they do not put “their particular spins” on their reporting? Because they do so, does this mean that they’re not actually reporting (based on your original premise)?

This is crap. From the past 2 days alone:

So, Fox News isn’t journalism, it is political advocacy like most other news outlets? Have I got your position correct?

Sounds like they’re the Harlem Globetrotters of the news. They can report the news straight, but that doesn’t sell as many tickets.

More than useful, they’re essential. They have a purpose, they’re flexible, and if they start groaning it doesn’t take much to make them stop.

A defensible position, but one hardly thought of before the 20th Century. For a media outlet to have a definite editorial position that shamelessly biases its news coverage is a tradition as old as print journalism. Just to keep all this in its historical context.
