Not “around here” per se, but in IRC, #straightdope on undernet.
Hopefully someone else can explain in a superior manner, because it’s been a while for me.
Click on “webchat”, type in a nickname, click “connect”, and then, when you enter the chat, type “/join #straightdope” and there you’ll be.
Or, you could just download mIRC at http://www.mirc.com and set it up from there. It’s a free download.
