Doper with most fascinating posts

Vapid in that sense.

Moved from IMHO to MPSIMS.

Word, Doper sister. Word.

Uh, he’s my evil twin brother, but that’s OK.

As to your posts. Pics?

KlondikeGeoff, the good bro.

Well, I’m mostly lousy with names, but gabriela, Scylla, and Qadgop the Mercotan are indeed at the top of my list.

I’m a little notable myself, right? As in the “heh, there goes Ran again. He’s always good for a laff” sense, more than the “oh no, HE’S posting again. So much for this thread” sense, I hope.

Scylla
Qadgop the Mercotan
Master Wang Ka
Eve
Sampiro
and the newlycomer gabriela

(not necessarily in that order).

I reckon I won’t be in anyone’s list

Ranchoth is so notable that, a few days ago, when I was challenged to come up with the name of a person who did not exist, I could not say anything but “Henry Ranchoth”.

Which bowled me out of the game, as the Ranchoth half does exist.

Hey, KG, can I talk to your evil twin? I’ve always had a fondness for… evil twins… (paging Winston Smith for appropriate mad tyrant laugh)

No pics. Ever.

I’m a sister!

[frisson of newbie thrill running up her spine; clutches her torso with both arms wrapped around her]

That feels more welcoming than the goat thing.
Hey, just what was it with the goat thing? And that big red X? And the guy with the trebuchet with the lousy aim?

Anyway, cool goat roti at the barbecue afterwards.

I like Mighty Girl.

I also have to say I have the same list, except for the newlycomer.

Everyone I want to mention has been mentioned, but I’ll mention them anyway:

SentientMeat
Qadgop the Mercotan
gabriela
Sampiro

And also there was Lib, once upon a time.

You go girl!

Sam Stone is always a voice of good sense. And QtM and Bricker amaze me with their knowledge.

I always read stuff from “The LA Crowd”:

Campion’s posts are always interesting to me, and helpful in that I can get a bit of insight into what it is my husband the (almost) 2L may be facing.
**
Stranger on a Train** always posts great science with a Wodehousian style. I learn as much as I laugh.

I’ll lump **silenus **in with the LA crowd, although like me he isn’t really. I always find a good food and drink recommendations come from him.

Johnny LA, although he isn’t in LA anymore, since we share some common High Desert experiences and a love of guns and motorcycles, plus I have a passing interest in aviation (kinda hard to avoid, both in my area of living and my area of work). Johnny LA’s thread on Deserts is what brought me out from lurker to poster, as a matter of fact. Uh, everyone can [del]beat[/del] thank him later.

The medical bunch: **QtM **and more recently gabriela. You both have such interesting stories!

Sampiro, of course. What can I say? He makes me laugh and cry.

Once again, roger, your perspicacity has me blushing. And to my faithful manservant who pointed out your post to me – there’ll be a half-day off at Christmas this year for you. With a house staff as large as mine, I suppose I can make do for a few hours with one fewer minion. But us rich lawyers have to keep up appearances.

I hope that my posts have made plain that the law is an incredibly fun way to spend your life. Fortunately, the hours aren’t horrendous, the work is always interesting, and opposing counsel is, simply, a joy to work with. If you have gleaned some other impression from my posts, it is all a lie.

As for me, there are a handful of Dopers whose posts I routinely enjoy, but what I think is truly great is the surprise post – opening up a thread, and reading something by someone I’ve never heard of (or know only vaguely) and being truly tickled by it.

Eve, Walloon, RealityChuck, and Governor Quinn, for their deep love and knowledge of the early 20th century and its seemingly endless cultural and historical riches.

David Simmons, for his firsthand accounts of that epoch and cogent insights on our own day.

Lissa, for educating us about dogs, penology, and museum practice, for her highly articulate brand of outrage, and for having the loveliest name ever given a woman.

Master Wang Ka? I also like that particular type of poster. Sadly, he seems to be gone. I haven’t run across a thread from him in ages. So if we are including retired posters… then add Wildest Bill!

I can live with that.

Ahem. (me-me-me-me-meeeee). : Cough :

BWA-HA-ha-ha. Ahem.

: bows :

QtM threads always draw me in.

Lieu always gets my attention.

I always read Rick and GaryT answers to automotive questions with rapt attention.
