Yeah, it’s a long shot I know.

I’ll be in Haifa, Israel Friday. I gotta work Friday morning and all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I’ve got Friday evening free!

So…

Any Dopers in northern Israel who want to show me the town? Get a good dinner? Down a few (Yeah, I know it’s the Sabbath)?

Have a great time, don’t let them talk you into the St Peter’s fish, and take an extra vacation day to hop down to Jerusalem if you’ve never been.

As above, the Old City is worth a trip if they give you the time.

All you need to start an asylum is an empty room and the right kind of people.

FTR, I lived in Haifa from July-September 1998, and my recommendation is…get out fast! Well, first visit the Baha’i Temple, and then get out fast.
