Dopers in real life.

Lola and I had a great time tonight meeting with some of our fellow dopers.

Ultress, you are a hoot! Love that accent. I hope your luggage makes the trip back home.

Sue, you are as nice in person as you are online, we will be waiting for those pics and will look forward to having you come by sometime.

Havoc, I hope you made it home on time and that your phone bill isn’t astronomical.

Smug, things got rowdy after you left. You and Havoc left me there alone with those wild women…LOL.

We will have to do this again soon, perhaps form an Edmonton chapter of the SDMB or something…

It was fun!

Hope to do it again when I have more time. Sorry I had to leave so early. I still have tons of work to do this weekend.

Ultress - hugs It was nice to meet yew. Have a safe flight back to N.C. Hope to cya again.

Sue… -

Yew still wanna hold our American friend hostage for a 24 pack of Molsen’s? There’s still time!

For the rest of my new doper friends…

Feynn, Lolagranola, and Havoc…

Hope to see ya’ll again real soon…

Dang Ultress! That NC accent is stuck wit me!

What a great time I had. I even learned a few things about this really cool group of people:

Lola - What a beautiful woman you are. Sorry guy’s she is taken. I still think a few more cubra libras and we could have gotten you on the table dancing, next time we break out the tequila for sure and pay for your University

Feynn - A cutie who does a mean chair dance and climbs gracefully around the booth while singing his heart out. You have great taste in music and don’t forget to tell Coldy about Rush after the concert.

Havoc - Yet another cutie. We found out that Havoc doesn’t like repetitive music even tho the words are easier to remember that way.

Smug - Mr. Gourmet Jelly Bean man. Sorry you had to leave so early. One more cutie in our group.

I definitely think we should keep Ultress, her accent alone makes her beautiful, and gave us all a few giggles when she was crooning to the music. Thanks for teaching us the proper pronounciation of y’all as well as a few other words.

Thanks everyone, I had a super time. Looking forward to next time so that I can continue to educate y’all some more on the fine art of eating fudge and drinking beer.

It’s 5 a.m. and I’m off to wake the southern belle up to take her to the airport. The meeting topped off a perfecto week eh! Thanks!

I just saw the report about the tornado at Pine Lake. I hope all the Alberta dopers were spared any grief. I used to go to camp B’nai Brith on Pine Lake, I can’t imagine how scary that must have been.

The bunch of you are just as weird in Real Life as you let on over the SD and 3F message boards.

What does that mean? It means Don’t Change One Bit!!!

As for last night’s live music: well, it wasn’t the fact that it was repetitive that was annoying at all. It was when Slade (“Run, Runaway”) sounded exactly like Spirit Of The West (“Home For A Rest (Take Me Home)”) and that in turn sounded exactly like Bryan Adams (“Summer of 69”)… I started to wonder about our musician, that’s all. Of course, he was still ten times better than the group I heard in Calgary who tried to turn AC/DC (“Thunderstruck”) into country/western, just in time for the Calgary Stampede. Oh… my… God…

I hope Ultress gets to go home to North Carolina now and brag to everyone down there about the size of those IGLOOS that she saw! Of course, everyone knows that we northerners live in igloos. It’s just trying to get them to remain standing when the temperature hits 30C/90F that things get tricky, that’s all.

You’re all a cool bunch of people. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go buy a big chunk of fudge before going to the lake today. Oddly enough, I think I’ve acquired a chemical dependency after last night…

(What? Me, cutie?)

It was a great time!!! If y’all practice real hard you can sound just like me, I almost have Sue sounding that way now.

It was so much fun meeting all of you. I just regret that I won’t be there for the next round. I had a great time on my vacation. I’ll be posting a thread on it tomorrow. Tonight I’m just too bushed.

I am already so attached to my own accent although the occasional y’all does slip out. Blame that on a friend from Oklahoma…

Ultress - perhaps you could Q Lola and I sometime, I think Sue could give you our numbers.

Hey Canadian Dopers!

I’m one of yaz! I live in Western BC but I do get to Alberta a couple times a year as my sis lives in Calgary. I’ll let you know when, and we can get together, ok? I don’t drink beer, but the fudge is a go.

can’t wait!

Real Life? Does that have something to do with the Big Bright Yellow Thing outside?

Ok. I’m not awake enough right now to spill everyone’s IRL secrets - heheheh - but I would like to say it was great to meet everyone. I think that we should get together again. You guys are a lot of fun!

And Havoc, your ICQ # is not on your profile. :stuck_out_tongue:

Friedo, pay no attention to that big yellow thing outside. Chances are, it’s just a school bus…

Havoc you cutie you!!! I will not believe a word you say, you are definitely NOT an introvert in any form or fastion. My icq number is posted on my profile so you guys drop me a Q soon.

Glad you crazy folks had fun…are there pictures of this?? We wanna see what y’all look like!!!
