I’ve been here since 2000, and I don’t think my style has changed much since then. I wasn’t in my teens/early 20s then, though.
I was a journalist back in the early aughts, so perhaps my posts followed AP Style more closely. Not sure.
Aside from that, I don’t bold usernames anymore, and I don’t sign every post. (I used to close every post with “Happy.”)
I’ve gone through periods of wanting to post more but, ultimately, I just read it every single day. Reddit has given me a new appreciation for the intelligence of the posters here.

Same here. I’ve always proofread, even way back when I first got on the Infobahn in 1986. (The Internet was not new in 2000, despite what someone said above.) Not only that, but before I hit the post button, I always ask myself, “Do I really want to post this?” Sometimes the answer is “no” and I cancel it. The net would be a much saner place if everyone did that.
Hey, the OP clearly calls for early-00ers. What are you snooty 99ers doing here?
My posts used to follow AP style as well, but I haven’t been a writer for hire for about 8 years, so I don’t tend to write as cleanly. I’ve also noticed that I post far less frequently than I used to (mostly because I spend less time on my personal laptop) and when I do post, I’m more cautious about what I say.
