This thread reminded me of the picture capability. I just uploaded the most confusing picture of myself to my CP that I could think of. It is the only picture of me in existence where I have a beard (late '92). Thus, it will still be useless for stalkers who wish to track me. 
A few Dopers I wish I could see a picture of? Skald the Rhymer. tdn. Scuba_Ben. Sam Stone. These are all people I’ve interacted with, or whose posts I’ve read with great interest, and I have no idea what they look like. There are plenty of others I have seen pictures of, or even met in person.
Dopers I’ve actually seen pictures of and still can’t shake the impression that they ought to look like someone else? twickster. I have no explanation for this.
I just tried uploading a photo to that profile thing and it shows the photo but it also says “file upload failed”. Can you see the photo in my profile? Did I do this right? It was the right file size and everything.
I still want to know what Diogenes looks like. Please tell me what name he goes by on domebo so I can find his picture.

I think I’ve seen pics or met most of the Dopers I was really curious about. (I was especially curious about elucidator and, for some reason, Shodan, before I met them). Off the top of my head, the only one I’d still like to put a face to is Liberal.
I had an image of you looking a lot older than you look in those pictures. How old are you? You look like you’re in your early thirties. I had a picture in my mind of a guy in his mid 50s, with graying hair or bald. I also imagined you having a bigger nose, and being very tall. I have no idea where this image came from, but that’s the image I have had this whole time.
Your overall appearance looks vaguely communist.
I’m 43. I’m older than I look. When I was younger, it was a curse. I got carded for beer into my 30’s. When I was in my 20’s, I looked like a teenager. When I shaved my facial hair, I used to look like an 8th grader. My Company Commander in Basic Training called me “puberty,” because I looked like I was about 12 at the time. That became my nickname in the whole Company. It sucked. I used to have bouncers refuse to accept my ID because they thought it was fake.
It’s not so bad now. I at least look like an adult.
And only “vaguely” like a communist? I need to work on that. I better sharpen my beard and get some rounder glasses.
Actually, forget the vaguely, you look downright communist. You look like Lenin, but with better hair.

I’ve always wondered what Sigmagirl, Freudian Slit, faithfool, Hazle Weatherfield, Der Trihs, and Bryan Ekers look like.
I would pay money to see Der Trihs. Hey, if you’re reading this, I will put 20 dollars in your paypal account if you link to a photo of you holding a sign reading “Der Trihs, SDMB, May 7 2009” (and anything else you want to put on there.) I’m serious.
Not nearly so bearded as one would imagine.
