Sorry I haven’t been around much for the most recent stuff. I had a lot to do at work today and my girlfriend discovered yesterday that she likely failed one of her law school exams so I’ve been having to act as shoulder to cry on, so I haven’t really been able to do much more than then just keep up with the posts. I haven’t really had the opportunity to do much analysis.

Ack, took too long to compose this reply. Hopefully it still counts as part of the Day.
I’m going to do what Roosh hates and be too nice again. (Which is, incidentally, how I play regardless of alignment: simultaneously too nice and too paranoid.)
anyrose’s behavior is a newbie tell–but of newbie what could go either way. Since the game was Day start, we have no way of knowing how much planning (if any) the scum had before we got to lynching. At any rate, she reads like someone who felt like nobody was backing her up and felt helpless. (And boy, do I know THAT feeling. By the time I was up for lynch a second time in the Psychopaths game, I was ready to throw my hands up and die.)
Thing Fish’s bandwagon also feels, on first blush, to be much ado about nothing. He is, at the same time, pinging my scumdar a little on how he does seem to be trying to hold contradictory opinions at the same time in a very muddled manner.
I am not a fan of voting for the sake of voting, nor do I like the so-called “lynch for information” (having fallen victim to that twice in one game - long story short, I was on a revolving door between the sub bench and the Firefly game). And on reread, I see that my predecessor has a vote that I am not entirely comfortable with, so unvote anyrose. I realize this leaves me without a vote on Day 1, but que sera.
Mafia is a game where people are irrational and going to be pressing each other over what does and does not constitute a significant detail. It IS scary as fuck the first time, but in the overall scheme of things your individual role means bupkis, especially if you are vanilla town.
I mean, I’ve been lynched in almost every game I was in (and in one case, this lost me the game grumble grumble) but I’m still playing the game. Then again, I might not have all my marbles anymore, so…
End of Day One
A cloud of confusion thickened amongst the townspeople as the sun began to set. The primary suspect, Thing Fish looked as good as dead, but towards the end of the day, the disappearance of anyrose began to look suspicious. The voting shifted and resulted in a tie between the two, so RyJae pulled a nickel out of his pocket.
“I call Heads,” Thing Fish declared, as RyJae flipped it into the air. The coin bounced in the dirt and rolled away from the crowd. Everyone rushed to see what the result was. It was Heads.
Since anyrose wasn’t around anymore, the mob decided to burn her house. They gathered torches and pitchforks and lit the house on fire. Everyone watched the blaze as a cloud of black smoke rose into the sky. Dotchan wakes up, screaming, “No, Wait, I changed my mind!” but it was too late. The house was almost incinerated.
A scorched piece of parchment floated away from the flames. Thing Fish picked it up, and read it allowed. “You guys are all nuts, and I am leaving! I hope you all find the bad guys though. I was not one of them. I was just an innocent victim of this mess. Goodbye, anyrose."
