Dougie_monty is an immoral cultist

If you can’t figure out how learning and expanding your knowledge will help you -

Help me what, in this topic? Or is it infra dig for you to tell me?

Oh. AFTER my time, then. I had Hurd for Music Appreciation, and several years ago my sister-in-law booked my wife to sing a wedding at her church in Lawndale, and Dr. Hurd was the organist.

[del]Who did Professor Nelson look like?[/del] Never mind. we’re supposed to be talking about what a horrible person you are here!

If you like wallowing in ignorance - and it seems you do - that’s your issue.

Go - enjoy it.

That’s too bad. I was expecting you to answer my question. I guess that’s too much to ask.

Maybe he had to go do more research.

What question?

This exchange?

Because - well, the first question is a non-sequitur to the previous general statement. and I don’t even understand the second non-sensical question.

And given your history for answering questions - rather ironic.

Since this site is for fighting ignorance and I’m afraid that some of the glib replies might have given monty the wrong impression, here are a couple of notes. Especially since exposing himself to these particular works might do him a world of good.

The reference in question is not to Handel, but instead is adirect quote from one of the funniest movies in existence and a must watch for anyone who wants to study the bible in its historical context.

For the record Innsmouth doesn’t actually have anything to do with Biden, but instead refers to a fictional town developed H. P. Lovecraft by one of the most influential horror writers of the 20th century, whose Cthulhu mythos have become their of genre, and whose works often refers to ancient tomes of forbidden knowledge.

Eldritch ancient tomes. Can’t forget the eldritch!

You make a good point. Honestly, I have been deliberately making references that I know dougie won’t get. It’s fun, in a sad twisted way, but unbecoming.

dougie_monty, you have my apologies.

I was referring to your response in Post #321. If you need more detail, feel free to ask me.

Prof. Nelson was an older woman–a very nice lady, very good teacher. Caucasian, dark hair, average height and build.

Who is “we”, Kemo Sabe?

Which was -

which is a rhetorical, general statement - while its germane to this specific topic, its more of a statement regarding your general dismissal of information that run counter to your “current” understanding for any given topic.

I would refer you to the previous thread on ‘strawberry pizza’ as a prime example.

The complete statement for 321 would be -

If you can’t figure out how learning and expanding your knowledge will help you - no one else can help you either.

Have a pleasant day.

I am certainly not averse to expanding my knowledge about anything. Much of my life, however, I have been the target of those who, I suspect, have acted not out of Noble Motives but were pushing my buttons to get a rise out of me or leave me in a miserable quandary. So a bell still rings in my head sometimes, and, I confess, I get over - defensive.

Please don’t drag Tonto into this mess.

The participants in this thread. Everybody else is supposed to be discussing what a horrible person you are, and you’re supposed to be defending yourself against the assertion.

I don’t see it, myself. As I’ve stated elsewhere, I regard you as a bit of a twit, albeit a relatively harmless one. Cheers!

ETA: Strawberry Pizza thread? Link, please!

As requested - starting @148 or so - http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=706225&highlight=strawberry+pizza

So it’s not just us? Do other people besides SDMB members call you out when you don’t back up your assertions and try to disseminate your way out of it?

Ta.

Well…not exactly. What I mean is that there are those who like to bait me, for whatever reason, and I get rattled and disorganized trying to defend myself.
I have found it ironic that it’s the * others * who have caught ME off guard by citing various Watchtower publications, some of which I am not familiar with.

Never presume that your opponent is as uninformed as you are.
