I always used youtube video downloader program. However i dl it from cnet and it has lot of bloatwware that im aware and thus i dont want to download it. Does anyone know of a program or site that i can do this?
Basically i want to download a lot of songs and videos and youtube and have it either as mp3 or some videos but mostly mp3.
SoundTap or iSound work even when you don’t have a “stereo mix” compliant sound card.
Most streaming audio is pretty crappy quality, I’ve found. Not really worth recording for replay.
You can Google “Youtube to MP3” and the first couple hits are sites where you plug in the Youtube address and it’ll spit out an MP3. In fact, I think they’re all essentially the same site but with different URLs. I’ve successfully used them before and the files they produce are clean, although you have to keep an eye out for, and avoid, the shady banner ads that pose as the download link and things like that.
Yes, this segment is absolutely jammed with malware, crapware, phishing sites etc.
Personally I use
Simple to use, no ads, and as far as I can tell 100% clean.
I don’t know that particular site, but using a website like that is what I suggest if you want to avoid bloatware. I recommend avoiding malware from such places by only downloading the sound files and using adblock.
Simple. No ads. No pop ups. No software. You just paste in the URL, click convert and then download the mp3.
Some of them I’ve found won’t work if the video is too long and/or of too-high quality; the conversion will just hang.
I use KeepVid a lot. No bloatware and works well.
