Trailer for the next season of Dr who
Any thoughts?
I see several characters from Matt’s first season. I presume fans were right that many events from that season are still very much present in this one.
Personally, I feel this mid summer break was a big mistake. I’d just gotten excited and then boom it ended. It’s going to be hard getting interested again in Sept.
The more I see that trailer, the more I’m amazed at the intricate puzzle Moffat has laid out. He’s using so much from the prior season and the current one. He’s hinted all along that Amy is the key. All the events in time are twisted up around her. That’s why the Doctor invited her to travel with him. He needed to keep her close and watch the events unfold.
I hope all these pieces form a completed puzzle that makes sense. It wears me out even thinking about it too long.
All of that in just six episodes? It looks amazing.
And now that I can view it on a decent-sized screen…
Rory punching Hitler!!!
THIS!
The “season” actually begins August 27th–for those watching on BBCamerica. Which made me pretty happy until the previews made me happier.
(My On Demand system is showing all the first part of the season–plus all of Matt Smith’s first year–for those who need to catch up or refresh themselves.)
Matt Smith is a brilliant Doctor. Karen Gillan is a brilliant Companion. And Arthur Darvill might be The Greatest Companion EVAH! He is the Last Centurion, and that has 2000 years of points.
From Comic-Con, two little tidbits about the future of Doctor Who.
Matt Smith and John Barrowman have both said they want Captain Jack to make a return for the 50th Anniversary special.
Semi casting spoiler for season 7
Karen Gillian has confirmed she’s returning for next season. No word on Rory yet.
I like this for two reasons.
[ol][li]If Matt Smith is talking about somethin two years away, that might mean he intends to be The Doctor for a while longer.[/li][*]Captain Jack is Awesome.[/ol]
So I was just reading about how some of the Dr Who cast was flown over to New York for a convention appearance. And after the scheduled appearances were done, they went out for a night of partying.
I think the headline "Naked Doctor Who star Karen Gillan and a riotous New York party" gets across the highlights of the story. I only have one unanswered question.
In the event that you’re in a hotel room and a naked Karen Gillan knocks at your door in the middle of the night - what strategy would not involve opening the door?
Sorry, but I just shifted into combined Dad and Boy Scout mode, led her in, covered her, and called the front desk.
