Dragon Age: Inquisition - One Week Away!!!

Later on you find a letter that mentions Schmooples II, who is used in interrogations.

She shows an amusing softer side later on, if you stick with her.

Can’t speak to him without being reminded of James from ME3, keep expecting him to call me Loco and challenge me to a pull-up contest since they’re both built like brick shithouses. Although frankly my elf mage could do with some bulking up, his arms are weedy as hell.

One thing that’s bugged me about the Redcliffe quest; Leliana was my Warden’s gal in Origins, and she still is (apparently he was ‘off n a quest of his own’, but she’ll rejoin him). Why in the name of Andraste’s knickers didn’t he save her in the bad future? My Warden would have hacked Alexius into Tevinter chunks with Vigilance before he let Leliana get captured, tortured and killed.

I have my own theory on this (more spoilery); That Corypheus’s mucking about with the Warden’s Calling is to blame and that this is why the Hero of Ferelden is AWOL. I’ve also got a feeling that Hawke and Loghain are in line for a Death By Cameo. Who meets you in the cave, if you kill Loghain at the Landsmeet? If it’s the Warden I’m gonna be pissed!

Or maybe there’s no mystery, he simply disappeared!

There’s an optional area that you can explore and there’s numerous nugs trotting about. You comment that they must like it here and, if Cassandra is in your group, she starts going on about “Can you believe Leliana had one of these for a pet? God, what was its name? Schmeples? Schmooples?..”

I finished the game last night. At the end I left one area completely unexplored and a couple more drastically unexplored. Lots of important quests left unfinished. I never even picked up a specialty.I was still rather overleveled.

Rather than keep playing and kill dragons and whatnot I’m just going to start a second runthrough at some point.

My first runthrough was as a male human warrior. It was really neat being called “Lord Trevalyan everywhere I went.” This next time I’ll do a female Qunari mage and see how that changes things.

Like Arrogance ex Machina, I’m sad my relationship with Josephine didn’t go anywhere. I went through several quests for her and worked through everything that it presented.

Still thought it was a great, great, great game. I love the CRPG revolution, but it’s really nice to have a meaty, modern RPG.

Agreed. I want meaty single player RPGs to keep going. Everything is turning into an MMO and I hate it.

It’s Stroud (from DA2) in my game, and it’s Alistair if he stayed a grey warden

Ah, thanks. I’ve made Alistair King so I’ve only seen him in Redcliffe when he and Anora got pissed off at the mages. Never played DA2 so I’m glad I spared Loghain and got him instead.

Is there a way to tell how far you’ve progressed through a region? I mean the stuff like when you find a new area, it tells you “discovered 22/29 areas in region <x>”. There’s also the landmarks you find. I don’t see those in the journal - is there a way to check on them other than pay attention when the message pops up?

Just noticed the ingredient you need to improve Lyrium potions which provide mana is a Black Lotus. That has to be a Magic The Gathering in joke (Black Lotus is a very famous rare card in Magic that makes mana).

My god the romances!

I flirted heavily with both Josephine and Cassandra. I ended liking Cassandra’s character more, even though I started liking Josephine better.

Now

I got a don’t mess with my friends speech from Leliana, and Josephine basically asked whether I was interested or not. I said yes! Now I’m in a Romance with josephine but still have a burning torch of desire for Cassy.
Should have gone with Cass, the romance with Josephine is fairly boring and doesn’t really go anywhere. :frowning:

Maybe you should break up and switch while you still can - I doubt Leliana will slit your throat.
Alistair was in Redcliffe? I never saw him, and he is King in my game. Huh. Maybe because I sided with the Templars?

I’ll have to play one with Loghain. Luckily the Keep makes that really easy

Yeah, you need to side with the mages to see him. It’s a very brief visit in any case, you didn’t miss all that much.

I realize they were hardly BFF’s in Origins but I find it curious that two women who traveled together for months and worked together to defeat the Archdemon of the Fifth Blight with the Hero of Fereldan don’t have two words to say to or about one another. If if they weren’t chatty amongst themselves, you’d think Leliana would have some choice things to say in private once Morrigan shows up.

Was the hero of ferelden Morrigan’s baby daddy in the world state import?

Mine was, I sure hope LEliana says something about that!!

Sadly she doesn’t, although Morrigan kinda acknowledges that the HoF is the daddy. Even after I contacted the HoF - which was disappointed, but at least they gave the option - Leliana doesn’t say a thing. Also agree the lack of banter between the two is disappointing.

Speaking of companions, what did you guys do with (big spoiler, you’ve been warned) “Warden Blackwall”, aka mass murderer Thom Rainier? I let a traitor swing in his place and offered him the chance to earn his redemption with the Inquisition. Had nothing to do with the fact he had some of my party’s best gear, nope. In any case, Sten did something similar and was very useful in Origins.
Hummed Jean Valjean’s “Who Am I?” song from Les Miserables. Seemed fitting under the circumstances

I haven’t finished that plot line though. Got as far as having him remanded back to the Inquisition and called it a night.
Well, my save files, both cloud and local, somehow got hosed (thank you buggy launch product?). The most recent non-corrupted version drops me back about 9 levels before I’ve even set foot in Redcliffe. I was going to play again anyways, so I guess no big deal, but I lost over 20 hours of progress. Doh!

This happened to the guy doing a walkthrough on the X Bone I was watching.

I’m terrified this will happen to my saves on PC, but I haven’t’ heard of it happening on there. Are you on PC? I’m having my NAS auto back them up periodically

So will anything happen if I keep on Romancing other people? I officially began a romance with josephine, but I hit on Dorian a lot, I like his character a lot, and I got an option to start a Romance with him. What happens if I do?

I want drama in my Dragon Age!

Kinthalis, you are… NOT the father!

Chairs tossed, swords hurled, daggers thrown.

I was romancing Josie and flirting heavily with Cassandra. Eventually Cassandra just asked me directly what was up and I had to choose.

She does mention Morrigan in Halamshiral before you meet Morrigan. Says not to trust her. It’s odd that they don’t mention each other later though.
