After reading some of the posts by the vegetarians/ vegans on this board, I’m beginning to suspect thast they are actually moles from the American beef council.
Remember, kids, lack of beef in your diet will cause anemia, developmental disability, and an inability to capitalize, so finish all your steak. You don’t want to end up like dragonfly, do you?

DF98 is not only stupid (which I contend is not a matter, to a large extent, of any beholder’s eye), but unwilling to listen to other points of view, which, in my mind, makes his point of view seem at best ignorant.
Scylla, the business about nature being destroyed for crop space is garbage. http://www.api4animals.org/doc.asp?ID=316 cite. The impact made for the sake of cattle farming is much worse.
Dragonfly, if you really want to reduce your impact on your environment, you should shut the hell up (considering this board as part of your environment). Then you can convert to a diet of discarded food, of which there is certainly no shortage anywhere in the States, in which case your immediate agricultural impact will become nil.

Considering that domains can be had for free, or for about $8-$12 average, or at the most about $35/year… why does this seem so strange to you? Say two years ago you bought a domain for 3 years and paid $30 for that. Not much at the time and it lasts for 3 years. Now you are in a financial hardship… and people rag on you for owning a domain name? Seems kinda stupid to me.
Before it looks like I’m standing up for this human toiletpaper, let me say that I’m not. I just had to clarify something about the domain thing.
I’ve been a vegetarian for 17 years and it’s a pretty large part of who I am. Assnuggets like this dragonfly guy make it just that much harder for me to get by in the world. People hear “vegetarian” and they think of folks like this. sigh

I just quickly wanted to point out a parallel I think explains everything.
Have you ever talked to someone who does meth regularly or DID do meth for a long time? They’re kinda twitchy and loud and don’t tend to make a whole lotta sense? There’s a link to a meth page from the page he linked here…it’s for people who are trying to clean up, and I read some of it, and sheeyit, there’s a lot of people who sound like this.

Well, I was ragging on him for wasting all of his money on expensive organic food, which is much more costly than a domain name. Mentioning the domain, too, was a paranthetical aside. It’s not as big of a deal as the pricey food, but it still doesn’t make much sense to lay in the gutter throwing what little money you have at comparatively rich people, when you could be using that money to get out a bad situation.
