Would you guys be able to dissect and analyze this creepy dream for me?
I don’t recall much detail, but all I remember is that I was being threatened by two older men- the reason remains a blur. They were chasing after me, trying to kill me! They didn’t have any weapons; they tried strangling me instead. :dubious:
They didn’t succeed in completing the murder, because I woke up in cold sweats in the middle of the night.
Anyhow.
Does anyone know what this means? Is something negative going to happen in the future? or can this be regarded as something positive?

Seriously, when it comes to dream interpretation, the best interpreter is the person who had the dream.
Is it possible that the strangling is metaphorical? Are you in a situation where you feel strangled? Constrained? Perhaps your current job is overly stressful and you feel like the workload is going to suffocate you.
Do you think the older men could be father figures? A boss? A spouse? A teacher/professor? Maybe you have a relationship (in the loose sense of the word) with an older man that’s restricting your life. Is it possible your subconscious is trying to tell you that you need some breathing room?
Jung interpreted dreams in terms of one’s Shadow. Others have extended this to interpret people in dreams as different aspects of one’s own personality, and different places as different times in one’s life.
The ordering of people and places, thus, becomes important, as well as the dialog; “have you ever seen that person, whom do they remind you of, how do you feel about them, how did you feel about them during the dream, what did you say to them, what would you have liked to say about them…”. Similarly, places evoke important emotions: “how did you feel there, have you ever felt that way before, have you ever been there before, how did you feel.”
Of course, others feel a dream is merely random neural activity that hits the visual association cortex and we attempt to assign meaning to this random activity.
That said, it appears you are into some kinky stuff with old men.
Dreams with the theme of danger, especially being chased by someone/something are really quite common. It does not foretell the future. You could have some anxiety about some part of your life being endangered, or you might have simply seen a scary movie recently. Or the sheets were wrapped around your neck.
