Drew Carey's "Green Screen" Show on Comedy Central

So…

Does anyone think this show is funny?

Beat you by 2 minutes

I didn’t think they’d put out but four or five episodes to begin with when it was on ABC last year, so I’m a bit surprised they’re having another go at it.

It’s an interesting idea, but wears on you after about five or ten minutes. 30 minutes of it is a bit tedious.

Perhaps its just the episodes filmed originally for ABC being re-run?

“Whose Line is it Anyway?” was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay funnier.

[nitpick] It was on the WB, not ABC.Which is right where it belonged!

Ya. I love Whose Line (my favorite being the British version once they moved to Hollywood), and I like Drew Carey.

But the Green Screen show? I saw one episode and it was more than enough.

I was unable to to watch this show for more than a few minutes. It does not seem that improvisation and green screens go together. I think that completely destroys the point of improv. comedy.

I get the impression the show was written by the same clowns who thought a hockey puck needed a cartoonish highlighting to make hockey easier to follow, i.e. someone who thinks the audience is simply too dumb to handle anything requiring imagination or concentration. Do an improv of two guys on a roller coaster? We better draw the coaster in, because the slack-jawed audience will otherwise stare at us in drooling confusion, saying “I don’t see no roller coaster. DOY!”
