Drinking Red Wine = Major Sinus Drainage?

I have noticed that when I have a glass of night the night before, the next day my sinuses run like Niagara Falls, or maybe it’s just coincidence? maybe I’m just getting to the age where I’m gonna have problems like that?

I remember my Dad had sinusitis really bad, and he always made a horrible rasping noise with his throat. It’s not that bad with me yet, but I notice that sometimes it’s so bad that when I’m trying to talk to someone, I begin to gurgle.

Sorry for the TMI :p, but I was just wondering what y’all thought and if the wine might be contributory? I have sinus drainage at other times too, but I wonder if drinking wine might contribute to the severity?

Thanks

Quasi

I understand that wine (red in particular) contains something (Histamines?) that can cause sinus congestion in some individuals.

So yeah, you can be sensitive to red wine, for whatever reason, and get clogged sinuses, you’re not just imagining it.
