I am looking for a good site that has listings and descriptions for prescription drugs. I did a search on these two I have and all I found was their listing on some drugs-for-sale sites.
One is called PROPRO-N/APAP and the other is METHOCARBAM. The first one I got after a minor surgery and I can’t remember if it’s an antibiotic or painkiller. The other, methocarbam, I have no clue what it might be for - pain, antibiotic…something. I got it a while ago. It might be a muscle relaxer, even. If it helps, both pills are quite large in size and white, with no coating.
Any help would be appreciated.
Methocarbamol is used for muscle discomfort (usually mixed with aspirin) although it is not a muscle relaxant. We don’t actually know how it woks. (According to the 1995 Physician’s Desk Reference.)
And the former is propoxyphene with acetaminophen, also known as Darvocet, a narcotic mixed with generic tylenol.
Thanks all for the answers. That was exactly what i needed!
Well, I know the question has been asked & answered…but I know of such a great site on this topic that I can’t resist:
**RxList: The Internet Drug Index**is the best resource for identifying prescription drugs. The most useful part of this site is a feature in which you can enter in whatever is inscribed on the pill itself (imprint codes), and it will tell you what drug it is.
Very helpful if you’re a parent, and you find some mysterious pills in your child’s possession. Or if you find some loose pills in your bathroom cabinet, and are wondering what they are.
