identifying drugs online

I could swear that I once saw a site online that allows you to identify pharmaceutical drugs. It’s similar to the book called “The Pill Book” and has lots of pics to help id pills. Anyone know what I’m talking about?? thanks

Select “pill identifier”.

also on Web MD you’ll find pictures.

I found one pill on drugs.com, but this other one wasn’t there and still has me stumped, maybe some one can help. It’s perfectly round, pink, about a half inch wide, and on one side is a big “C” and on the other side is a line with a 86 above the line and a 62 beneath it. Anyone know??? thanks

Try this its a web ring for medical and para-medical professionals. http://home.earthlink.net/~codern2/

www.rxlist.com if you click on advanced search it allows you to search by pill shape, the code imprinted on it, color. Or you can just search for the name of the drug in the main search. It also gives drug interactions and other information…

While that should be enough to identify the drug to the manufacturer, do you know any more information? Do you know what the drug was prescribed for? My guess is the “C” stands for the name of the company which made the product, but if it’s a generic brand, that makes it that much tougher to find.

I guess if all else fails, take it to your local pharmacist.

Actually, just go back to ccwaterback’s pill identifier link, and try “86 62” on the “enter text imprint” section. It takes you right to “Skelaxin”, which matches your description exactly:

It’s a muscle relaxant.
