I want some info on drugs, drugs of all sorts. First hand experience, effects on biochemistry and the like. Just pointing me in the right direction would be a big help.
I’m doing a drug right now. I’m totally addicted, if I stop consuming it I’ll go through withdrawls and die. I am habituated to the drug so it has no psychoactive effects on me, but if I consume it in excessive amounts, I’ll become delirious and disoriented and possibly die. And it’s the most common drug on earth. What is it?

What I ment by drugs were those traditionally considered drugs, like pot & LSD. Its an area where I don’t know much about and would like to know about. I figured that the Straight Dope could provide me with at least a lead in doing research that would help. I also figured that first hand experiences of people would be useful info. I’m sure that the SDMB will actually be helpful eventually, I’ll just need to wait a little longer.

I’m a drug user. I’ve used quite a few drugs, including alcohol, pot, lsd, mushrooms, special k, ecstacy, and a bunch of perscription drugs. Different kinds of drugs effect you in different ways. I personally prefer non-addictive psychadelics or entactogens, although my all time favorite drug is weed. Yeah right. The dumb thing was the guy who posted the links to websites with information on how to manufacture methamphetamine and other drugs. I expect this thread to get stomped on by the moderators any second. And it will deserve stomping.

Yeah, the question was too vague, but it was pretty obvious what he meant by “drugs”. Your response was just unnecessarily harsh and sarcastic, so I don’t know why you’re surprised at other people flaming it a bit.
Some drugs postings are dumb and irresponsible and deserve to be stomped by the moderator. Others are from kids who will probably try drugs anyway, and want to find out more information so that they can use them as safely as possible - or make an informed choice about whether to take them or not based on the actual medical evidence. I don’t think trying to get more information about something before you try it out is dumb, and I don’t blame anyone for not believing the typical exagerrated press scare stories on dugs.
Don’t know specifics on other drugs, but most incidents that have hit the press over here (Britain) involving kids using ecstacy have been because they didn’t know how much water they should drink etc… The more informed people are, the safer they are.
Uh, ChasE., Did you look at those links? Neither of them have instructions for manufacture - both are very informative regarding the law as well as a variety of substances. Both have been posted - without the thread being closed - on this site on numerous occasions.
