Read the article again. Her one year old was there, too. Thus, she’s a a parent. But, besides that, her callous disregard for the other kids there make the situation what it was.
Perhaps the emotional issues of putting children in jeopardy are clouding my judgement of this “crime.” Legalisation of drugs is an issue we haven’t tackled in a while. Maybe someone should open a debate about it. Despite strong leanings towards one view, I am open to other’s ideas.
Here, tho, I’ll stick with the thought that this woman was in the wrong. In more ways than one.
Absolutely, she was wrong. That’s an entirely seperate issue from wether our national drug policy is also wrong, and from the concept of “victimless crimes” as a whole.
