Dry Loop DSL - a good idea?

I understand it would let me keep my Verizon broadband only (no other phone services) for $25/mo. Since I got a cell phone, it seems I only need my land line to be able to get broadband, and nothing else. Does anyone know if this Dry Loop DSL works well? Or if there are downsides that I’m probably not thinking of?

I use this through AT&T. It is $45 dollars per month and I have had it since October with no problems whatsoever. I use Vonage over it so I can have an office phone, but it sounds like you won’t need to do that (I wouldn’t either, but I work from home and need an Atlanta based phone number).

I think it is pretty cost effective, and I am happy with the service.
