I went to a pub/sports bar to pick up some lunch Thursday, and a couple of guys walked in. One of them had a soul patch like Apolo Ohno wears, he had about the same skin tone, and he looked about the right height. But he was wearing a tuque and had dark wrap-around shades. (Yes, sometimes it’s sunny up here.) Ohno’s dad’s salon is a couple of blocks away, so I suppose it’s plausible that he might have come into the pub if he was in town. But A) I’m not a celebrity-watcher; B) upon looking at photos just now, the guy’s nose may have been a little too pointy; and C) I’m sure a lot of people who bear a passing resemblance to Ohno have adopted his facial hair style. Probably wasn’t Ohno.
