I gotta say, I think The Grapist was probably the best random troll the SDMB’s ever had. The schtick, though admittedly limited, was delightfully absurd. Not to mention that he was around for only ONE DAY before getting banned… TEN YEARS AGO! And a bunch of us still remember him. Now that’s staying power.
I agree the grapist was so much fun for that one day he/she showed up. It was amusing.

I don’t know where the one day thing came from, because it is decidedly not true. The guy was around for a good long while. I think he was eventually banned, but it took a long while because he never actually pissed anybody off with his schtick. And you have to admit, it was kinda funny.
