Whether they do or n ot, I don’t know, but it ain’t happening this time.
Bump! The NSFW trailer is
this gives me a boner.
in fact, it gives my boner a boner.
So I guess Eccentrica Gallumbits is the final boss?
Black Mesa Source
Or possibly Half-Life 2 Episode 3, or the announced but putzed around sequel to Dreamfall: The Longest Journey from Ragnar “we at Funcom have more important things like an MMO that has had barely any marketing yet is almost ready to come out despite the fact that The Longest Journey series is one of the most iconic adventure games and the previous game basically had no ending” Tørnquist.
So, has anyone here played the fool thing yet?
It looks pretty shitty. It’s amusing but that wears thin.
I’ve been playing Gearbox’s “Borderlands” and it’s probably the most… I hate this word, but derivative game I’ve ever played. It’s just a pasted-together list of stuff from other sources; it’s more or less Fallout 3 with less plot and a virtually limitless supply of weapons and ammo, but they threw in a World of Warcraft “skills” tree (really badly thought out one, too) and robots that look like WALL-E.
I have a feeling DNF, assuming it’s ever released, is going to be a pretty by-the-numbers shooter.
It’s not out yet; end of next week over here.
They sent out the DNF demo keys on steam. Not sure what all you can do to get one, I had it from ordering borderlands before a certain date. In my case I go to borderlands, view cd key, then there’s a DNF first access club key, enter it into the gearbox website and they give you a demo key to enter into steam.
Here’s TotalBiscuit’s demo playthrough:
It doesn’t seem to live up to Duke Nukem 3D’s standard at all.
I’ll probably get it if it isn’t total garbage - I’m in the software biz, and I like to say “hey - our latest relase isn’t THAT delayed”

I liked Duke Nukem The Movie. I think it was called The Fifth Element.
It looks fine to me. His basic complaints, having seen the whole demo:
-
The Hard skill level is really hard. To which I, the average gamer, says NO WAY! Imagine that! I would hope so.
-
You can only carry two weapons at a time. He ascribes that to current custom, but out of context for Duke. Again, so what? The days of Doom, where you rarely run out of ammunition and you have 10 weapons to choose from (implausible even back then), are long past. Get used to it or don’t play it.
-
It just doesn’t feel like a Duke Nukem game. I suspect that everybody will say that, and would have said it even if the game captured it perfectly because they want to show their annoyance for having to wait 12 years for it. This game is DOA because it is such a perfect opportunity for people to gripe en masse with very few disagreements. Ha-ha, let’s make fun of DNF like we have for the last decade.
I think it looks good, and I’m looking forward to it.
yes it has only one reason…that is love and live
Don’t you mean Army of Darkness?
I thought it was Commando.
Or Escape from NY/LA
I hope they make such a movie and forego the bubblegum.
Here is my suggestion for the lead actor:

Only your first argument has any merit. It’s a game in a series. It is a long awaited sequel. If it could be just any other shooter, then what was the point of releasing it?
Why do people think that saying “Haters will hate” defends anything? Surely on this board, unlike the others I frequent, I don’t have to explain why that is a poor argument.
