Is it just me or does the following "breaking news’ headline seem a little idiotic?
BREAKING NEWS: Mississippi Democratic primary too early to call, NBC projects
That was an actual breaking news headline a few minutes ago.
Since when is it “breaking news” that we have nothing to report?
Sounds the same as when the networks used to interrupt evening shows with reports that they didn’t know anything more about a “developing news story” than they did 30 minutes ago, and would then “rejoin our regularly scheduled show already in progress” just before a commercial break.
