Now I’m confused. He’s only 28. I thought he was supposed to be Betty’s husband.
We did get a look at his face - not in the past Sundays show but the week before. The mother didn’t latch the door all the way, distracted by the news about the Chicago murder. While mother and “normal” son were talking about it, he crept upstairs. When he heard what they were talking about, he went back downstairs and locked himself back in.
That’s what I thought at first, but subsequent episodes have led me to believe he’s her mentally retarded son.
I think
(pure speculation, but spoiler tag anyway)
that she was telling more of the truth about her husband than we thought. Except, he didn’t kill her son, he left him severely brain damaged. The husband is gone (in prison or dead). The son is locked in the basement.
