Well while IRA attacks directed at civilians has always turned my stomach I’ve got to say that no attack on the UK was ever carried out because of the atrocities that the Black and Tans or The Auxiliaries carried out in the south early on in the last century. If you think that’s why the IRA did what they did you need to educate yourself more on their thinking. If you’re going to call them murdering cunts (which I do BTW) at least do it for the right reason.
They started the bombing campaign on “the mainland” to bring it home to them about what was happening in NI, hoping that the British public would put pressure on their politicians to get the fuck out of Ireland. No way was it gonna happen but when did that stop terrorist ideologists(sp?) Just look at 9/11, ETA, Oklahoma, Hamas, Berlin Olympics, PLO and on and on … Just a FYI
