Duplicating a user ID in Windows

This is Windows XP, if that matters. I have an application that uses my Windows ID to log me in, but it won’t take a space in the name, and I have a space in my user name. I’m an Admin, by the way. I changed my name, but the application is still getting the old name with a space in it. Can I clone my user ID, and everything associated with it, and then get rid of the old one?

Thanks!

I’m not sure if there’s a way to do it directly, but using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard should do the trick. Export all your settings, create the new user ID, and then import the settings over. The only doubt I have is whether your program’s settings will be exported. Surely it’s possible to tell it to log you in again, or at worst reinstall just the program?
