My family had an above-ground swimming pool destroyed by one of these in Tennessee in the late 80’s.
Too bad about the guy, though. Guess he never saw it coming.

That’s freaking weird. I always thought those things were harmless!
We get those bad boys here in Tucson all the time, usually carting trash along with them. They can be mighty destructive and pretty scary when you’re driving a high-profile vehicle, like an SUV or tractor rig. Never heard of 'em killing anybody, though.
It sounds like he was killed as much by shoddy construction as the dust devil. The wind lifted the roof off and the walls came down?
I thought this thread was about vaccuum cleaners…
I thought it was about Chevy Monte Carlo commercials.
I thought it was about Alliteration:
The Siege of Belgrade
Alaric Alexander Watts
An Austrian Army awfully arrayed,
Boldly by battery besieged Belgrade.
Cossack commanders cannonading come,
Dealing destruction’s devastating doom.
Every endeavor engineers easy,
For fame, for fortune fighting - furious fray!
Generals 'gainst generals grapple - gracious God!
How honors Heaven heroic hardihood!
Infuriate, indiscriminate in ill,
Kindred kill kinsmen, kinsmen kindred kill.
Labor low levels longest loftiest lines;
Men march 'mid mounds 'mid moles, ‘mid murderous mines;
Now noxious, noisy numbers nothing, naught
Of outward obstacles, opposing ought;
Poor patriots, partly purchased, partly pressed,
Quite quaking, quickly “Quarter! Quarter!” quest.
Reason returns, religious right rebounds,
Suwarrow stops such sanguinary sounds.
Truce to thee, Turkey! Triumph to thy train,
Unwise, unjust, unmerciful Ukraine!
Vanish, vain victory! Vanish victory vain!
Why wish we warfare? Wherefore welcome were
Xerxes, Ximenes, Xanthus, Xavier?
Yield, yield, ye youths! Ye yeomen, yield your yell!
Zeus’, Zapater’s Zoroaster’s zeal,
Attracting all, arms against all acts appeal!
