Just got a new DVD (it’s the new Disney made-for-TV Music man, with Matteh Broderick). I put it in the DVD player. Nothing. It doesn’t even show that there IS a DVD in there. On the screen, it says “loading”. tried re-instering it a few times- still nothing. I have a Samsung.
Took it next door, my neighbor has a Sony. Played, first time- no problem.
You probably have a dirty lens. Have you tried to play another disc?
Yes, it plays everything else, and is fairly new- only 6 months old.
You could do a web search for a more recent firmware for your model Samsung player. If your desparate you could try making a movie only copy which will overcome any DVD structure conflicts your player might be encountering with this disc. That was the only way I could watch the 16:9 version of Gattica (Pal/flipper).
