My computer is stuck in region 2, and it seems that it’s written on the dvd drive (according to DVD Express anyways). Is there anyway to get it back or even to just switch it?
We’re going to need a little more information. What DVD drive are you using, and what region do you want to switch it to (I’m assuming region 1)? Did it come this way, or did you switch it?
I have a Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-C2402 and I would like to switch to region one and It gave me five times to switch before it stuck…
Do a web search. There are (not-quite) legal ways to do this, but be assured that it can be done.

One more good reason to stick with an older region-free DVD drive. If you have a mix of DVDs from different regions, an older drive may be a good investment. I paid $35 for mine, used, over a year ago and it has worked quite well in that time.
