For some odd reason, My Dvd rom has stopped reading dvd’s. It still plays cd roms just fine. I also am running adaptec cd creator 4. I have heard that it can cause problems with DVD roms. What else can cause a DVD rom to stop reading? The light comes on, but after a couple seconds it stops . Any ideas?
Was there software with the DVD/CD drive? Did you try to reload it?
Have you contacted the web sit of the Mfgr?
Customer service could help. Maybe?

Thanks, I tried to look up their website. They don’t exist any more, which was a bad sign already. I looked up my DVD rom on epinions.com, and discovered that I bought the crappiest DVD rom known to mankind. Everyone who reviewed it had the same problems as I am now. So that answers that. No more cheap DVD roms for me. (delta)
