I love my WiiU. Lego City Undercover was THE best game I’ve played in ages. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
I don’t need to see FIFTY fantastic games released for it every year, when I’m only going to buy 6 or 8.
They’ve got Luigi U, Pikmin, and Wonderful101 on the way just in the next few months. I haven’t run out of games to play since launch. EA can find their dudebro games a home somewhere else. Good luck to 'em. If they think PS4 and the Xbox-One are going to blow the WiiU away out of the gates with consoles sold, I think they’re underestimating the poor economic conditions and the new competition that console gaming faces in the form of phones and tablets.
That being said, I was REALLY hoping to see Grand Theft Auto V on the WiiU, and as of right now, it doesn’t look like that’ll be happening.
I wonder if they realized the backlash Microsoft was just about to receive and changed their mind.
I also wonder if it’s not contradictory–there are no games in development for WiiU right now, but that’s just a lull while they are working on other titles, and they always had plans for more WiiU titles.
I am also less pessimistic about Nintendo’s future as a console maker due the bungling by Microsoft about the Xbox One. WiiU sales actually went up after the announcement, even though everyone was complaining that the WiiU isn’t even as powerful as the Xbox 360.
I just personally wish that Nintendo would either get better third party support or get out of the console market, but that’s because I want to play their games. There’s absolutely no way I can afford to have two consoles.
