Earthquake in South Central PA

3.3 magnitude, yeah not much. I think that was the first earthquake I’ve ever “survived” while awake though.

I think we had a 3.0+ a couple years ago, but i was asleep for this one. This was kinda weak, felt like a low-flying jet, or 3-4 tractor trailers rolling by out front on the road. Still kinda weird to get an earthquake up in these parts.

Where was this? I live in south central PA (maybe a bit east).

That’s too far east for me. I’m in Cumberland County.

Holy shit! I live right outside Reading.

It was really interesting IN Lancaster, let me tell you. Around 12:05 AM last night there was a rather large BUMP that felt and sounded like someone had fallen upstairs. I had no idea what it was until yesterday morning after I got up when supervenusfreak told me we’d had an earthquake. The epicenter was about 7 miles north of us, just outside a town called Salunga.

Looks to be about 30 miles from me. I didn’t notice a thing. I am a bit unobservant at times though.

Seems a little east of me. As far as I can tell, nothing was disturbed in my area.

That’s too far south of us, but, still, as a west coast transplant, I read the thread title thinking “ooh! earthqua. . . 3.3?! Those get reported?”

I was in Lancaster at the time. Don’t recall feeling anything but saw it reported in the paper the next morning.

A friend of mine from Red Lion said that he and his wife felt it - and went outside to find that the rest of the neighborhood were all out saying WTF was that?

Well welcome to the foot masauge way of life.
