I spent six months in Rizhao, China starting a pulp and paper mill. One of the employees became ill, with some kind of a respiratory ailment and visited the hospital for treatment. I asked about how it worked, and he said that the treatment consisted of three steps.
- They used acupuncture to align his chi.
- They burned some herbs and wafted the smoke against his chest and back.
- The gave him intravenous antibiotics.
Well, apparently the acupuncture and herbs worked, because he got better.
