Anybody else catch this piece of dreck (after Flight of The Conchords)? Apparently, HBO thought that there wasn’t enough programming about redneck assholes on the air. The series is about a major league pitcher whose arm goes bad, and he ends up as a substitute teacher in a small town school. The first ep goes to great lengths to show that the guy is a complete jerkoff, and the profanity is non-stop. We only made it through about ten minutes. Hopefully, it will die a quick death, as it’s not up to the usual HBO efforts.
I had never heard of it before, so had you not posted this mini-review I wouldn’t have checked it out. So now it’s dying an even slower death than before! 
I think it COULD have potential, if it seemed like less of a spoof and more of a real show.
Looks like it stars Danny R. McBride, from “Pineapple Express” and “All The Real Girls”. He always plays that sort of creepy character that you just never like. Doesn’t look any different here. It also stars (and is produced by) Will Ferrell…ymmv.
