Ebay phishing "By this message we report you"

I was just reading my emails, and a lovely little eBay phishing email had showed up. I needed a chuckle. I thought I’d share the lovely verbage with you all.

I especially love the sentence “Your billing information is meant to be stored in a safe place.” No duh!! I see they aren’t promising to provide that safe place.

**That’s why do verify **

Yeeaaah, let me get that info right away :smack:

I think even the free online translaters could do better than this. Do people actually fall for this?

Is anybody else being hit with these phishing emails more than usual lately? I’ve been getting one or two a week for the last few weeks, proposing to be from either ebay or paypal. They’re barely readable: “Mind that your account can be invalid for non-payers and your responsibility may include costs accepting.”

People from all over the world use eBay. Some of them must obviously have as much trouble with English as the phishers do, or else there’d be no target audience for these emails.

Yeah, they do seem to have stepped up. I get a lot of them and I don’t even have either an eBay or a PayPal account. I’ve also been getting a lot of crap that purports to come from various credit unions. I do have a credit union account, but it never purports to come from the one I have. And it comes to an email address I would never use for that purpose. Though I will say the English is very good on those.

The OP, run through Babelfish into French, German and back to English:

I think this one actually makes more sense.
