Ed McMahon Sues a Hospital and a Billionaire for his neck pain
He’s suing the hospital claiming elder abuse and inadequate treatment.
He’s suing the billionaire who owns the mansion whose outdoor steps he tripped on because there wasn’t a hand rail.
Y’know… I hate to be this jaundiced, always the fact both cases could be legitimate, but the fact he waited more than a year to sue them, then sues them just as he’s being sued for $650,000 in mortgage payments and about the same amount by various credit card agencies just kinda sorta makes one a bit suspicious. (Of course it could be also that I’m paranoid since I don’t have handrails on my outdoor steps- though I did add socket covers to my outlets instead of just having people splice the wires.)
And I still for the life of me can’t figure out how you can earn well over $50 million in a career, most of it in the last 25 years or so (Tonight Show, Bloopers, Star Search, endorsements, emcee duties- hell, his military retirement [Brig. General/USAF Reserve], pension from SAG, and Social Security alone should be well over the income of most households, plus you’d think he’d have residuals and annuities and 401Ks) and have nothing to show for it that you can pawn or sell or burn for the insurance money. I mean-- if your wife spends $500,000 on a diamond collar for the dogs, you should still have the diamonds at least… I wonder if it’s gambling? Or failed attempt to create a super race of people on a privately owned island that sank when they rebelled?
