EDD

Quick question for all…I have applied for EDD almost a month ago and now I was just told a decision has just been made today. I asked if what the decision is and she said I have to wait to receive it in the mail. Is this true? Does it sound likely that I am not going to be getting my benefits?

I have a rather long story on how and why I was fired which was at no fault of mine to get fired actually it was the crazy company and there ethics they choose to use, which are NONE…Maybe that’s why on the average 2-3 employee’s monthly either quite or get fired…bad, bad company to work for!

What country/state/province are you in? That would help us a lot in answering your question.

Telling us what EDD stands for would probably also help…

In my experience, in California, this doesn’t tell you anything either way.

The decision is always given by mail, so I think you’re stuck waiting for the answer. Good luck.

Given the length of time since the OP has checked back in, I’d venture to guess ‘Enquiry Deficit Disorder’.

More likely, California Unemployment.
EDDis the Employment Development Department, but in reality, think of it as Endless Delays and Dithering.

Communications from them are steganographic - the answer is hidden somewhere on the page, but it’s often a challenge to decipher and understand their wording.
