Hey, is it not permissible to edit posts here? I accidentally double posted to a thread and when I hit the edit button got a message saying that I was trying to access a function I wasn’t allowed to do, like editing someone else’s post? But it really was my post.
Yep. It was disabled because of the risk of posters editing their posts after the fact to make other posters look stupid (or to delete deliberately offensive comments).
Before you ask, yes, there is an element that would do that. Sadly.
