Edumacation

A coworker and I were discussing the word “edumacation” and we couldn’t remember if this originated with Popeye or Homer.

Anyone? Cite?

Yeah, we shoulda been working! What you got to say about it?

First place I remember it was in Tiny Toon Adventures when an opposum gets excited that he was going to go to Acme Looniversity to get him an edumacation.

I don’t think Homer ever mentioned the word in the Iliad or the Odyssey, but it has been a while since I read either of them.

<rimshot> Don’t forget to tip your waitress!

Ya know, I almost said “Homer (not the writer).”
