Effective Form of Birth Control?

What happens if Boyfriend, after an appropriate rest to “reload the gun”, decides to go for another session of intercourse, again not wearing the condom? What about the ejaculate that may still be inside his urethra, that didn’t emerge during the previous bout?

Basically, even if he withdraws again, he’s even more likely to conceive under this scenario.

When I was in young an still in school I used pills (for the girl of course), condoms, and withdrawl. It’s 99.99% effective. This is your life we’re talking about.

I know I have no cite for this, but the PP web page will prove me out. The HIGHEST concentration of spermatazoa, opposed to just ejaculate fluids, is in the first ejaculation, the first spurt to be crude but accurate.
Withdrawl is lunacy. ROFL yes, they’re called “Parents”

Girl,
Yes, if they are both healthy: meaning they’ve been tested regularly for std’s, and had been using condoms.
Trustworthy: they would pull out before ejaculation.
Two of my friends have been using that method for years(about 10) and they’ve never been pregnant!

Vanilla’s comment bothered me also. But Girl Next Door beat me to post.

Your two friends have been very lucky. So far. I hope they have names picked out for when their luck fails.

Trustworthy?? While having sex??? You’re kidding, right?

Wrong. There is one absolutely sure-fire 1,000% effective method of birth control. It’s free and fool-proof. Available everywhere, costs nothing, never fails, sure to work, etc, etc, etc.

It’s called EDUCATION.

Sorry… had to get it out.

Are they both the same sex?

Well, look, the rhythm method does help a lot too, if she has a regular cycle.

The most effective form of birth control (outside of vascular surgery) is deppo-prevarin, but the side effects are lousy (constant bleeding for a month or more).

Condoms are just no fun. I prefer getting nothing over fake plastic love any day. I’d recommend your friend get on the pill and use the rhythm method for the first few months anyway.

Well, now that it’s out, perhaps you can elaborate on your point. Are we to presume that “Education” here means “Sex Education”? Are you claiming that anyone who receives sex education will not unintentionally get pregnant (or get someone pregnant)? That everyone who has unintentionally gotten pregnant (or gotten someone pregnant) has been uneducated?

In your post, up until I read the word “Education”, I thought you were leading up to the word “Abstention”. This I would have agreed with, though stating this hardly addresses the problem at hand.

No method of birth control is 100% effective.

Abstinence? Well, try telling that to Mary and Joseph.

If a person wants to really be safe then you use multiple forms… the pill and a condom… a condom and foam or jelly… a diaphram and a condom…

You can never be too safe…

I think someone suggested oral sex as 100% effective. Gay sex has to be up there as far as effectiveness, too…

Hey, abortion is 100% effective too.

::ducks::

Well, the OP said BIRTH conrol didn’t it??

charizard:

Yup.

Yes, my friends have been lucky. I wouldn’t recommend that to anyone. Just reporting on their results.
Yes, trustworthy(ha!)
They’ve just been very lucky.

and that got me to thinking about the following scenario:
[li]woman goes down on man, takes and holds the cum in her mouth[/li][li]woman and man french kiss[/li][li]man goes down on woman[/li]
Isn’t it possible to get pregnant by oral sex in THAT scenario?

Just a twisted mind at work…

There is one thing which is 100% effective. It’s called masturbation.

To quote my favourite comedian Billy Connelly, on withdrawal:

“The Catholic Church says that 'On the point of ejeculation, withdraw your penis from the vagina. A hundred horses couldn’t make my arse go the opposite direction!”

I think that about sums up withdrawal and trustworthiness…

NO! NO! NO! This is not an effective form of birth control! There are a number of reasons for this. First, as I think was said, there is ZERO STD protecion. This is a risk to both partners! I can understand people who are married and monogamous not using condoms, but everyone else needs to protect themselves. AIDS is rampant in someparts of the world, we do not want it to be anymore rampant here than it already is. The next reason is you CAN get preganant with this method. The pre-ejaculate fluid from a man’s penis often contains sperm. These little dudes can swim just as well as the ones in the ejaculate. Also, it is not always possible to pull-out on time.

Your friend needs to be using condoms and it is recommended that a second method such as the pill or something be added. Preganancy is a dangerous thing to play around with. You are messing with your life, your partner’s, your family’s and most importantly your baby’s, who could be born with any number of STD’s if you do not protect yourself.

I love my friend, but she is as dumb as a post. I’m going to start slipping her The Pill just so she doesn’t breed!
I told her everything that was said on the board. I offered to go with her to planned parenthood. And she STILL won’t listen to me. I don’t know if it’s just because she’s stupid, stubborn, or “ten foot tall and bullet proof.” I’m begining to be sorry I ever got involved.

When she misses her period, she’ll believe you.
